For our finance team, we are looking for a:
Project Controller
Employment: Full-time (36 hours)

Job Purpose
In this role, the project controller is responsible for financial reporting and accountability of government and privately funded projects. He or she also supports Mensen met een Missie staff in preparing budget proposals and assists partners of Mensen met een Missie in various countries in preparing budgets and financial reports.
Organizational Position
The project controller works under the responsibility of the finance and operations manager. You will join the Finance team, working alongside three colleagues, including an additional project controller. As the Project Controller, you will also work closely with the Fundraising and Program Management teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the financial project administration in Project Connect;
- Manage, monitor, and prepare budgets as well as monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for programs and projects, ensuring compliance with donor regulations and applicable audit protocols.
- Prepare budgets for grant applications and program proposals for other donors;
- Ensure that all established requirements, including grant conditions and audit standards, are met;
- Prepare and manage financial project files in an organized and accurate manner;
- Report on the finances of programs and projects (including audit controls);
- Report on project risks;
- Contribute to the development of the organization-wide annual budget and multi-year budget based on ongoing and developing project budgets.
Knowledge and Skills
- HBO/WO level of education and thinking in financial matters;
- Several years of experience in a controller position; preferably with experience in government or externally funded programs in an INGO setting;
- Knowledge of Project Connect is a plus;
- Good oral and written communication skills;
- Socially skilled team player;
- Very precise and able to self-check work;
- Good command of Dutch and English;
- Command of the French language is a plus;
- A strong dedication to the mission and vision of Mensen met een Missie.

- A salary, depending on experience and evaluation, ranging from €4.226 to €5,702 gross per month for a full-time position of 36 hours per week. Additionally, an end-of-year bonus of 8.3% and vacation pay.
